CERTIFICATION
Certificates of Completion are awarded after satisfactory completion of each of the training courses in the curriculum.
Continuing Education Hours are awarded according to the length of each course, through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
LEVEL 1 - PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION (48 hours)
Certification as a Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner requires completion of the following:
- Level 1 — Essentials of Thai Yoga Massage (24 hours)
- Level 1 — Foundation of Thai Yoga Massage (24 hours)
- 40 documented sessions (minimum 90 minutes each), utilizing most of the Level 1 techniques.
- 8-hour Anatomy and Physiology course from a recognized school or teacher.
LEVEL 2 - ADVANCED PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATION (72 hours)
Certification as a Thai Yoga Massage Advanced Practitioner requires completion of the following:
- Certification as a Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner
- Level 2 ADVANCED — SIDE-LYING & SEATED (24 hours)
- Level 2 ADVANCED — SUPINE (24 hours)
- Level 2 ADVANCED — PRONE (24 hours)
30 documented 2-hour sessions, utilizing most of the Level 2 techniques (including those from Level 1) - 10 sessions focusing on each of the 3 advanced training positions.
LEVEL 1 – PRACTITIONER TRAINING (48 hours)
MASTERING THE BASICS
Completion of both the LEVEL 1 – ESSENTIALS and LEVEL 1 – FOUNDATION classes makes up the training requirements for certification as a Practitioner of Thai Yoga Massage. The two classes are non-sequential, they complement one another and either can be done as a first step towards professional practice.

LEVEL 1 – ESSENTIALS OF THAI YOGA MASSAGE (24 hours)

- Focus on practical application
- Walk away with a solid grounding in the historic and theoretic background of Thai Yoga Massage
- Receive a detailed Guidebook with pictures and descriptions to aid in your ongoing practice
- These Essential techniques will help anybody to harmonize the experience of “being in their body”
- This class makes up one half of the training requirements for certification as a Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner
- Foundation of Thai Yoga Massage makes up the other half
- Enough time to practice and integrate the moves and postures learnt on the course
- Allows for a deepening experience as a healing therapist
- Gain from the insight of a teacher with many years of experience as a professional practitioner
- Earn a Certificate of Completion with 24 hours of Continuing Education Credit through NCBTMB

LEVEL 1 – FOUNDATION OF THAI YOGA MASSAGE (24 hours)

- However, the FOUNDATION training can also be done as the first step, before the ESSENTIALS

- But the fascinating history and philosophy of the system are also covered in this class

LEVEL 2 – ADVANCED PRACTITIONER TRAINING (72 hours)
ACHIEVING MASTERY
These 3 advanced courses can be taken in any order, as they are all mutually exclusive. Each is considered to be an immersion into those aspects of the work covered and includes additional theory relating to the history, philosophic, energetic and physiologic basis of Thai Yoga Massage Therapy.
Each of these 3 workshops focuses on all the techniques that apply to the client in the position relevant to that particular module, including all the basic, intermediate and advanced moves, such as hands-free or “commoner” style work, using the feet, knees, elbows, etc.
An integration day for supervised practice and coaching concludes each workshop.
Certificates of Completion will be awarded with 24 contact hours of Continuing Education Credit, through NCBTMB, for each module.
LEVEL 2 - PACKAGE PRICE - DISCOUNT OFFER

LEVEL 2 ADVANCED – SUPINE (24 hours)
- Learn how to perform Thai Yoga Massage in the Northern “Village” style
- Use the feet and the knees to great effect
- Athletes and larger clients can benefit from the smooth application of deeper leaning pressure
- Especially good for therapists with smaller hands
- Energy flows easier when therapists can stand or sit as they work, with their legs extended
- Learn a whole new repertoire of moves for the supine (face up) and prone (face down) positions
- Includes more training on:
- the 10 Sen (Thai Energy Meridians)
- improved therapist self-care
- better body mechanics
PREREQUISITES: Completion of 3 days of Thai Massage training with any recognized school or teacher.

THAI ON THE TABLE - FOUNDATION TRAINING (24 HOURS)
ADAPTING THE FOUNDATION TRAINING FOR THE MASSAGE TABLE / TREATMENT BED
Roughly the equivalent of the Level 1 – Essential and Foundation Training listed above, this course is especially relevant for skincare, bodywork and massage therapists who intend to practice Thai-style massage therapy on the bed/table.
On completion and after continued practice, participants will be able to perform up to an hour and a half of full body Thai Massage with the client on a massage table, in the supine and prone positions.
The workshop includes an integration day for supervised practice and coaching to ensure that each participant can go out and practice the “Table Sequence” with the use of the Guidebook, until a professional level of competency is gained (likely in relatively short order).
A Certificate of Completion is awarded with 24 contact hours of Continuing Education Credit through NCBTMB.
Further training on additional moves and techniques must take place in the traditional style on the floor due to client and practitioner safety considerations.

The most effective way to improve one’s technique and understanding of the work: Deon is available, by appointment, to teach up to 4 students at a time (all levels), in an intensive style and private environment, anywhere in the world. All of the material in any of the classes described above can be addressed in this way.
